Road kill is "a fact of life, so you've got to have a sense of
humor about it," said Dick Novotney, a state road maintenance
supervisor who, like many in his field, keeps his hand on the
"You-Hit-It, We-Spit-It! Road Kill Grill" menu.
No one is quite sure where the mock menu came from, but it
sports such dishes as "The Chicken that Didn't Quite Cross the
Road," "Poodles 'N' Noodles," "Chunk of Skunk," and the daily
special -- "Anything Dead Between 2 Slabs of Bread."
